What is Edge Banding?
Edge banding is the material that protects, decorates, and beautifies the edges of furniture panels. It enhances the appearance of furniture by displaying clear wood grain and a vibrant overall color effect.

Quality Judgment:
Color and Surface Roughness: Assess the color of the edge banding and its surface roughness. It's important that the color matches the customized product and appears vivid.
Flatness: Check the flatness of both the surface and the bottom of the edge banding. Uniform thickness is crucial; otherwise, it can notice glue lines or gaps between the board and the edge, affecting the overall aesthetics.
Color Consistency: Ensure there is no significant whitening of the edge banding and that the background color of the edge banding closely matches the surface color of the board.
Strength and Elasticity: The edge banding should have suitable strength without excessive elasticity. High strength indicates good wear resistance and better quality, but too much strength can increase processing difficulty.
Glue Uniformity: Check if the glue on the back of the edge banding is applied uniformly and whether it tends to peel off easily during use.
Odor: Evaluate the smell of the edge banding strip. High-quality raw materials typically produce products with a mild odor. A strong smell indicates that lower-quality raw materials were used in production.
